For over 140 years, NYK has been connecting people, markets, and industries across the globe. Europe has been at the heart of that story from the very beginning, and today our role is more important than ever. This year marks the 130th Anniversary of our operations in Europe and the opening of our London office in 1896. Throughout this year we will ensure to commemorate this together with all of you.
Shipping and logistics are entering a period of rapid change. Decarbonisation, digitalisation, and shifting customer expectations are reshaping how global trade works. At NYK Group Europe, we see these changes as opportunities to create smarter, cleaner, and more reliable solutions for our customers and society.

Message from the Group Chief Executive Officer, NYK Line
Thank you very much for your continued support and patronage of the activities of the NYK Group.
Since its founding in 1885, the NYK Group has been expanding its activities as a comprehensive global logistics enterprise, taking pride in supporting people’s lives and livelihoods, with a focus on marine transportation, which accounts for more than 99% of the trade volume in Japan, a country surrounded by the sea.
In its new medium-term management plan, “Sail Green, Drive Transformations 2026 – A Passion for Planetary Wellbeing -,” announced in March of this year, the NYK Group set forth a new vision of “We go beyond the scope of a comprehensive global logistics enterprise to co-create value required for the future together with our stakeholders by advancing our core business and growing new ones.”
We will continue to be a corporate group that contributes to society, is needed by people, and keep growing sustainably by proactively working to solve global social issues, such as decarbonization.
The NYK Group will continue to implement various activities to achieve the medium-term management plan. We look forward to your continued support and encouragement.
