Emergency Winter Surcharge

Introduction of an Emergency Gulf of Finland winter surcharge.

NYK will implement an emergency surcharge on all cargoes to and from Estonia and Finland, due to extreme winter weather currently affecting the Gulf of Finland. This surcharge will apply for as long as the current operational conditions continue.

Routes affected: Asia – Europe and Transatlantic trades, both eastbound and westbound.

Effective date : For Asia-Europe trade: 1st March 2010

For Transatlantic trade: 18th March 2010

Quantum: €25 per TEU.
