NYK announces stage 3 of its structural revenue recovery (SRR) programme. Further to our last communication announcing stage 2 of NYK's SRR, please be advised that we now intend to implement stage 3.
NYK announces stage 3 of its structural revenue recovery (SRR) programme.
Further to our last communication announcing stage 2 of NYK's SRR, please be advised that we now intend to implement stage 3.
Despite some improvement in rates this summer and major cost cutting initiatives being undertaken by NYK, the freight rates on the Asia - Europe trade routes remain commercially unviable and it is necessary for us to take this step to continue providing you with the high quality liner service expected of NYK. As a result, we plan to increase our rates from 1st October 2009.
The rate increases are as follows:-
Westbound: All routes from Asia, Indian Sub-continent, Oceania to Europe, Mediterranean, & Black Sea: US$ 300 per TEU
- Eastbound: All routes from Europe, Mediterranean, Black Sea to Asia, Indian Sub-continent, Middle East, Persian Gulf & Oceania: US$ 75 per TEU
