NYK is proud to support and work with a number of organisations who are dedicated to improving lives and the environment.

 Breadline Africa logo

Breadline Africa is an internationally registered charity that seeks out partnerships of hope and growth in Africa. It seeks to connect people who are struggling to achieve the most basic living conditions with others who are more fortunate and in a position to make a difference.

Due to a successful application to the NYK Helping Hand Scheme, we have been able to contribute towards the development of nine Container libraries for primary school children in Africa. This is being launched in association with the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

As part of the NYK Helping Hand Scheme 2010-11 the organisation was shortlisted by staff to receive funding towards the development of a mobile truck to travel directly to the children in need of support. This will allow them to provide medical support, food and clothing to children that need it, as well as inform others of their cause.
